Charity Events 14th September

On Saturday 14th of September 2 very important and worthy charity events are being held in Newbridge and MOOREFIELD are lending their support.

1. Newbridge Grassroots Festival Community Fun Run from Standhouse Road (Beside Church of Ireland-NOTE THE CHANGE) registration at the Garden Centre; commencing at 12.00 noon, all in aid of Sensational Kids, €2 per child in club gear – agreed U7/8s, U9s, U10s, U11s and U12s should participate – meet at Woodies car park at 11.30 a.m.

2. Conquer Cancer Kildare are holding a special event in Sarsfields club grounds (nothing to do with Sarsfields – clubhouse will not be used due to association of alcohol and cigarettes with cancer), will set out a walk lit by candles which will be sold at €5 each, each candle to contain a message of support to a cancer sufferer or in memory of a cancer victim.  Consequently We will be getting 50 candles to distribute on Saturday to mentors to sell. Organizers aim to sell 1,500 in total for this worthwhile cause which will provide home support to cancer sufferers.
