Kilcock 3-5 vs. Moorefield 11-15
This was an outstanding performance from start to finish. Kilcock were missing players due to holidays and could only field 14 players, which meant we played with 14. At half time we were up on a score line of Moorefield 6-7 to Kilcock 1-3. We used all our subs but this didn’t weaken the team, again an outstanding performance by all. Next match is at home next Sunday V Naas at 11am.
Moorefield 10-10 vs. Naas 1-3
Moorefield played Naas in Moorefield 01/09/2013 @ 11.00am, and won well 10-10 to 1-3. The game as a contest was over by half time with Moorefield winning 4-4 to 1-0 with the aide of a slight wind. Moorefield started the second half as they finished the first, playing great attacking football.We used all our subs, and this didn’t weaken the team. We kicked on and scored 6-6 in the second half against the wind. Conor Brady was captain and played a captain’s roll ending up top scorer.
Moorefield 2-6 vs. Sarsfields 0-2
Moorefield played Sarsfields this morning 08/09/2013 at 10.30 am in Moorefield in round 3 of the Under 13 League. Halftime Moorefield 2-6 Sarsfields 0-2. Full time Moorefield 4-12 Sarsfields 0-4. This was a brilliant performance by the Moorefield Defence only conceding 2 points from play and 2 from frees. Our forwards even though we played well at times, didn’t convert enough of the scoring chances we created. Overall it was a job well done against a young Sarsfields team. Final Score Moorefield 4-12 Sarsfields 0-4, our next match is away to Maynooth next Sunday at 11.00am. We are now joint top with Carbury with 3 Wins out of 3 each.
Maynooth vs. Moorefield
Moorefield Under 13’s traveled to play Maynooth in round 4 of the under 13 Div 1 League this morning 15/09/2013. The weather was wet and windy. We played against the wind in the first half and led at Half Time 2-5 to 1-1. We played well with the wind but conceded too many goals. Final Score Moorefield 5-11 Maynooth 6-2. That’s 4 wins out of 4, final match is away to Carbury next week. We have now qualified for a home Semi- Final.
Carbury vs. Moorefield
Moorefield Under 13’s travelled to play Carbury on Friday 20 Sept 13. Carbury started very well and raced into a good lead. Moorefield played some good football but failed to convert the chances they created. Carbury ran out winners on a score line Caarbury 5-8 Moorefield 3-8. Moorefield have qualified for a home Semi-Final next weekend.
Saturday 29th September
Moorefield 4-14 vs. Naas 2-2
Moorefield Under 13’s played Naas in Moorefield this morning 28/09/13 at 11am., in the Semi-Final. Moorefield performance wasn’t up to their usual standard but still managed to lead at half time, Moorefield 0-6 Naas 1-2. In the second half they played like we know they can and totally dominated the second running out winners Moorefield 4-14 Naas 2-2.

Moorefield 8-8 vs. Carbury 8-8
Moorefield under 13’s played Carbury in the League Final played in Hawkfield today 05/10/13 at 12.00. The match ended in a draw 8-8 to 8-8 each after extra time. This was a hard though match played in a good spirit with excellent performances from players on both teams. Replay takes place Tuesday evening 08/10/13 at 7pm in Hawkfield. Tuesday 8th @7.30pm
Carbury 5-6 Moorefield 3-10, Another great performance from our under 13’s. We started slow and conceded an early goal, and we in 5 points down at half time. We were a much improved side in the second half but with time against us, Carbury managed to hang on and claim the victory.
